About the Company

Our client is a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation based in Ipswich, committed to supporting the local community through meaningful programs and services. Due to a short-term requirement, they are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide leadership and stability to the finance function over the next 3 months.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the senior leadership team and working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, this hands-on Finance Manager position will oversee the day-to-day finance function while leading a team of five.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
Lead, mentor and support a finance team of five
n
Drive month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
n
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial projection activities
n
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the finance function
n
Provide backup support for payroll processing as required
n
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements
n
Review and maintain financial controls, processes and compliance obligations
n
Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and decision-making support
n




Prepare reports and analysis for senior leadership and stakeholders
n
Support the delivery of year-end and audit requirements where required
n
Ensure the finance team continues to meet operational deadlines during the contract period
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will be a capable and adaptable finance leader who can quickly build relationships and provide confidence to the wider business.
n
You will bring:
n
CA or CPA qualification
n
Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager
n
position
n
Strong people leadership experience, including coaching and developing finance staff
n
Proven experience managing month-end reporting and forecasting processes
n
Experience driving process improvement and finance automation initiatives
n
Sound knowledge of payroll and payroll-related compliance obligations
n
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
n
A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to hit the ground running
n
Experience within the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded but is not essential
n
