BWA Gas is seeking reliable and hardworking Labourers to join our LPG cylinder processing team at the ELGAS site in Lytton, QLD.
n
This is a casual position initially, with the prospect to transition to permanent employment for the right person.
n
You'll be joining a safety-focused team working in a busy production environment, with consistent hours, training provided and opportunities for regular overtime.
n
About the role
n
As a Labourer, you will assist with the processing and re-testing of LPG cylinders. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires a strong focus on safety, quality and following established procedures.
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
Sorting and preparing LPG cylinders for re-testing
n
Removing and installing cylinder valves
n
Hole-punching cylinders that have failed testing
n
Recovering LPG from cylinders being re-tested
n
General labouring and production duties as required
n
Following Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all site safety requirements
n
n
The team can process up to 700 cylinders per day, so the ability to maintain a consistent pace while working safely is important.
n
We have 2 shifts currently available:
n
Afternoon:
n
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
n

$2.00 per hour state allowance

15% loading (afternoon shift only)

About You
n
n
The physical capacity to lift up to 20kg repetitively
n
A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
n
The ability to follow instructions, SOPs and safety procedures
n
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
A willingness to complete an online induction
n
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
n
Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid Australian working rights
n
Be 18 years of age or older
n

Public transport to the site is not available. A current driver's license and your own reliable transport is essential.
