Working a 6:1 / 5:2 roster with every second Saturday a half day, this is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong freight handling experience who takes pride in safety, accuracy and teamwork.
What You'll Be Doing
Operate forklifts of 2.5 tonne and above to safely load, unload and move freight
Handle and prepare freight for safe and efficient dispatch
Apply safe load restraint practices when securing freight
Use RF scanners to accurately scan and track freight throughout the depot
Complete manual handling and general yard duties as required
Work closely with drivers, freight teams and yard personnel to keep operations moving
Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy and compliance throughout daily operations
What You'll Bring
Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience operating forklifts of 2.5 tonne or above
Previous freight, yard hand, warehouse or similar operational experience
Practical load restraint experience
Experience using RF scanners
Confidence completing manual handling as part of a physical, hands-on role
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
