A leading National Tier 2 civil contractor is continuing its strong growth across Queensland and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the business on a full-time basis.
n
With an annual turnover exceeding $150M nationally, the company has established an impressive reputation for delivering bespoke and technically challenging civil construction projects across Australia.
n
Reporting directly to the State Manager, this is a unique opportunity to join the senior leadership team of a growing national contractor and play a key role in both securing and delivering major infrastructure projects across Queensland.
n
The Role
n
Initially based from the company's Brisbane headquarters, you will work closely with the Pre-Contracts team, providing your project delivery expertise throughout the tendering and pre-construction phases.
n
Your Initial Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
Providing project management input throughout the tender process.
n
Reviewing project methodologies, construction programs and buildability.
n
Assisting with tender submissions, pricing and project planning.
n
Identifying construction risks, opportunities and delivery strategies.
n
Working collaboratively with the estimating and pre-contracts teams.
n
Supporting the business in securing new work across Queensland.
n
n
Once projects are secured, the role will transition into a site-based Project Manager position, where you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects valued up to $20M.
n
Projects are predominantly targeted across Central Queensland,



so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling and working away from home.

n
You will have the opportunity to work on technically challenging civil infrastructure projects, including:
n
n
Highways and major road infrastructure
n
Bridges and structures
n
Pipelines
n
Dams and associated infrastructure
n
Complex civil and bulk earthworks
n
Other bespoke infrastructure projects
n
n
About You
n
n
10+ years' experience within the civil construction industry.
n
A proven track record delivering projects valued up to $20M+.
n
Experience delivering major infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, pipelines, dams or similar.
n
Strong commercial, contractual and project management capabilities.
n
Previous experience working for a Tier 2 local contractor - essential.
n
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
n
The ability to work collaboratively across pre-contracts and project delivery teams.
n
A willingness to travel and work away from home on a regular basis.
n
A strong understanding of construction methodologies, programming, safety and quality requirements.
n
