The Queensland Revenue Office is currently seeking to fill multiple AO5 Senior Investigations Officer - Level 1 roles across both our Brisbane and Maroochydore offices.
n
Working in a collaborative team environment, this position will see you conduct and contribute to investigations and audits to ensure compliance with Queensland's revenue laws or make determinations on complex matters.
n
Your typical day as a Senior Investigations Officer - Level 1 may include:
n

Identifying and addressing instances of non-compliance with revenue laws through audit or investigation
n
Reviewing client lodgements, and making determinations about taxation liabilities or exemptions
n
Writing reports, analysing data, interpreting legislation and liaising with qualified advisors
n
Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues to help them grow and learn.

There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, although to be successful you will need:
n
n
The capability to analyse, interpret and apply legislation
n
Experience in an audit, investigation, administrative decision making, legal or similar role, preferably in a financial or tax environment
n
A working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems
n
The capability to apply your own knowledge and skills to solve problems collaboratively
n
n
These vacancies currently exists within the Payroll Tax division, however this process may be used to fill similar roles in other QRO divisions and revenue lines across Brisbane & Maroochydore.
