strictly confidential search
for an experienced HR Coordinator to join a fast-growing, privately owned ANZ retailer.
This is not a traditional junior HR Coordinator opportunity. We are seeking an experienced HR qualified who is comfortable working with autonomy, navigating change and operating in a highly commercial, entrepreneurial environment where the pace is fast and expectations are high.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide hands-on HR support across compliance, employee documentation, WHS, WorkCover, policies, reporting and broader people operations. You will also be encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge thinking and make considered recommendations as the organisation continues to evolve.
The Role This is a broad and highly visible HR position requiring someone who can confidently balance day-to-day execution with sound judgement and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting day-to-day HR operations across a fast-paced and evolving ANZ retail business
Managing employee records, HR documentation and compliance requirements
Coordinating WorkCover administration, claims documentation and stakeholder correspondence
Supporting WHS administration, incident reporting, investigations, training records and associated documentation
Maintaining policies, procedures, compliance registers and document control
Preparing HR reports, trackers and documentation to support business reporting and audits
Responding confidently to HR and compliance enquiries from across the organisation
Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and administrative efficiency
Providing practical recommendations and HR support to senior stakeholders
Supporting broader people initiatives and projects as business requirements evolve

About You We are looking for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and close to the action. You will be comfortable working predominantly onsite and thrive in an setting where priorities can change quickly and decisions are made at pace.
Importantly, you will bring the maturity and confidence to have robust, respectful conversations with senior stakeholders. You won't simply agree for the sake of agreement - you will be prepared to make recommendations, explain your reasoning and professionally challenge a viewpoint when you believe there is a better outcome for the business.
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
Previous HR experience within a founder-led, privately owned or entrepreneurial organisation, ideally one that has experienced significant growth or change
Experience operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
Strong HR administration, compliance and employee documentation experience
Exposure to WHS and/or WorkCover administration
The confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders and navigate differing viewpoints
A practical, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach
Strong judgement, resilience and the ability to remain composed when managing competing priorities
The ability to work autonomously rather than waiting for direction
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Confidence using HRIS, document management systems and Microsoft Office
