The team at Maxima are seeking an Animal Noise Response Officer to join the team based in Kingston. In this initial 6-month Local Council position, you will work 5 days out of 7 with a casual hourly pay of $***** + penalties as required. Possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate complaints regarding barking and animal noise nuisance
n
Collect transparent, factual, and impartial evidence while ensuring natural justice
n
Conduct property history checks and determine appropriate enforcement actions
n
Monitor properties using audio recording devices (e.g., Noise Net) and analyse data
n
Provide advice to owners on reducing noise nuisance and allow reasonable compliance timeframes
n
Prepare neighbourhood surveys and manage community expectations
n
Promote and support responsible pet ownership across the City
n

Proven ability to conduct investigations and produce effective outcomes within the parameters of relevant legislation, local laws, Council policies, plans and programs

Strong communication and organisational time management skills

Ability to work with animals of all behaviour types
n
Strong investigation and negotiation skills

Licenses and Certificates
n
n
Current C class drivers license
n
Cert IV in Government Investigations or similar highly regarded
