An exciting prospect is available for an experienced
Day Shift Supervisor
to join a well-established manufacturing business in Brisbane.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with experience in
steel, manufacturing, fabrication or a similar industrial environment
, who enjoys leading a team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.
About the Role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the workshop and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and supporting a production team
Coordinating daily workflow and allocating tasks
Monitoring productivity, quality and output
Ensuring safe work practices and procedures are followed
Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and operational issues
Providing hands-on support across manufacturing operations
Coordinating materials and workflow throughout the facility
Supporting loading, dispatch and material preparation
Operating and overseeing relevant production equipment
Assisting with equipment checks and basic maintenance




Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
Working closely with management to resolve operational issues
Supporting a positive, accountable and safety-focused team culture
About You
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in
steel, manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing or a similar industrial environment
Previous experience as a
Supervisor, Leading Hand or Team Leader
Strong understanding of production and workshop operations
Experience working around heavy materials and industrial equipment
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Good mechanical aptitude
Strong communication and leadership skills
A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
The ability to motivate and manage a production team
A proactive approach and strong work ethic
