What You'll Be Doing
n
Serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, providing timely and professional technical advice on products, applications, and system solutions.
n
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations aligned with customer requirements and commercial objectives.
n
Manage customer orders from quotation through to fulfilment, ensuring accuracy across product selection, pricing, delivery, and customer information.
n
Support External Sales Engineers with product selection, technical specifications, solution development, and proposal preparation.
n
Act as a trusted technical advisor, assisting customers with application requirements, troubleshooting, and fit‐for‐purpose solutions.
n
Identify opportunities to promote products and value‐added solutions by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable alternatives.
n
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Service,
Logistics, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction.
n
Build and maintain strong long‐term relationships with both new and existing customers through responsive communication and proactive support.
n
Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of customer and operational requirements.
n
Support stock allocation and availability activities to provide accurate delivery information and customer updates.
n
Assist with dispatch activities when required, including picking, packing, labelling, and preparing products for shipment.
n
Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work setting.
n
Provide cross‐functional support across Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse functions to support daily business operations.
n
Ensure all activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
What We're Looking For
n
Qualifications
n
Trade qualification or tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline will be highly regarded.
n
Solid technical understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, motion control, or related industrial systems.
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications,
and technical documentation.
n
Experience
n
Experience in Internal Sales, Technical Support, Customer Service, or a similar customer‐facing technical role.
n
Background working with hydraulic, mechanical, motion control, automation, or industrial engineering products.
n
Experience using ERP and CRM systems is desirable.
n

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Strong customer focus and the ability to develop lasting professional relationships.

Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Service, Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse teams.

Hands‐on attitude and willingness to support operational and dispatch activities when required.
n
Strong organisational and time‐management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
n
High attention to detail, particularly when preparing quotations, processing orders, and managing product information.
n
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities and contribute to business growth.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
n
Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms will be highly regarded.
