Job Description
A leading Australian Organisation is seeking a experienced SRE / Observability Engineer to help strengthen the visibility, reliability and automation of their technology setting. Initially a 6 month contract which may extend.

Responsibilities:

Drive and support continuous observability and SRE practicesacross applications, infrastructure and services.
n
Improve asset discovery and service visibility
n
Work with CMDBdata and configuration management practices to improve the accuracy and usefulness of service and asset information.
n
Bring together metrics, logs, traces, events and topology data to create meaningful operational insights.
n
Identify opportunities for event orchestration, automated remediation and workflow automation.
n
Analyse recurring incidents, alerts and operational patterns to identify underlying problems and automation opportunities.
n
Establish observability practices that enable teams to understand service health, performance,



dependencies and customer impact.
n

Key Skills / Experience:
n
n
strong hands-on experience in SRE and observability engineering
n
Enterprise observability and monitoring platforms.
n
APMand application performance analysis.
n
Infrastructure and application asset discovery.
n
Dependency mapping, service topology and service modelling.
n
CMDB / configuration managementand service data.
n
Event management, event correlation and alert optimisation.
n
Automation and orchestration of operational workflows.
n
Metrics, logs, traces and distributed-system telemetry.
n
Cloud and hybrid technology environments.
n
Scripting/programming,
such as Python, PowerShell or similar.
n
n
