This is an outstanding opportunity based from Lidcombe NSW for an experienced Home Assessor, Building Supervisor or Assessing professional with leadership experience looking to join a business that genuinely invests in its people, systems and future growth as a Team Leader.
This role can be either full time onsite in the office or On Road (In the field) - take your pick!
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of 6 Assessors responsible for on road and/or desktop-based home assessing, scope validation, cost control and end-to-end claims management across residential insurance claims.
You'll play a critical role in coaching and mentoring assessors, improving operational performance and helping drive exceptional customer outcomes during what can often be challenging times for customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Assessors
Driving high standards across scoping accuracy, cost validation and claims management
Managing escalated claims and complex customer matters
Monitoring team performance,



KPIs and operational outcomes
Supporting process improvement initiatives across the Home Claims function
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and repair networks
Providing ongoing training, feedback and capability development across the team
Contributing to workforce planning and operational improvements

What We're Looking For
Previous leadership or supervisory experience within Home Assessing, Building, Insurance or Trade-related environments
Strong background in estimating, scoping and assessing residential building repairs
Ability to mentor, inspire and performance manage a team
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational and time management capability
Experience handling escalations, complaints or complex claims matters
Insurance industry experience highly regarded, but not essential
Minimum 2 years' experience within Home Assessing or the broader Building industry
