Senior Financial Accountant

$120,000 - $130,000 + super | Career progression | Sutherland Shire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing business with a strong reputation in its industry. This is a broad role where you'll take ownership of the accounting function while gaining valuable exposure across the wider finance operation. Importantly, this is a role with genuine long-term progression. As the business continues to grow there is a clear prospect for the successful candidate to develop.

The Prospect
Managing the end-to-end month-end close across multiple entities
Preparing monthly group consolidations, including intercompany transactions and eliminations
Managing project accounting, including WIP, cost tracking and margin analysis
Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity
Supporting statutory accounts, BAS, FBT and external audit requirements
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting




Partnering with operational and project teams to provide commercial insight
Working closely with senior finance across a broad range of finance initiatives and process improvements

About You
3+ years' experience across financial or group accounting
CPA or CA qualified or actively studying towards
Robust experience across multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of financial reporting
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to partner with non-finance stakeholders
