Diggermate Canberra is looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop Hand to join our growing team. We specialise in mini excavator hire and pride ourselves on providing well-maintained equipment and great customer service.

This is a wide-ranging role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our workshop, including:
Maintenance and servicing of mini excavators and attachments
Preparing equipment for hire (cleaning, checking, basic repairs)
Assisting with machine operation and yard organisation
Light metal fabrication and basic welding tasks
Complete operator wet hire work as required.





What We're Looking For
Experience in machine operation and maintenance (essential)
Basic metal fabrication / welding skills
Mechanically minded with solid problem-solving ability
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on environment
Valid driver's licence (essential)

Work Conditions
Early morning starts required
Occasional weekend work as needed
Full-time / casual position (flexible depending on candidate)
