Ardea Investment Management is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, supporting the design, development and maintenance of software applications and internal systems that underpin our investment and trading operations.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Design, develop, test and document software applications and internal systems used to support investment and trading operations, in accordance with business requirements and technical specifications
n
Analyse user and business requirements to design and implement full‐stack software solutions using React (front‐end) and Django (back‐end), ensuring applications meet functional and technical specifications
n
Write, test, debug and maintain program code to identify and correct system errors and performance issues, ensuring applications operate reliably and to specification
n
Modify and enhance existing software tools to improve performance, functionality and reliability, including portfolio optimisation and investment workflow applications
n




Design and implement system integrations between internal applications, SimCorp APIs and SQL Server databases to support data flow across investment platforms
n
Install, implement and support internal software applications used by portfolio managers and middle office teams, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
n
Consult and collaborate with research, trading and operations teams to evaluate system requirements and translate business needs into technical software solutions
n
Document system functionality, technical specifications and processes to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer

About you
n
n
Demonstrated experience in full‐stack software development, ideally using React and Django
n
Experience working with SQL Server databases and system integrations
n
Robust problem‐solving skills and the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders
n
Experience in financial services or investment management highly regarded but not essential
