The Role
We are looking for a
Distribution Centre Truck Driver
to join our South East Queensland Distribution team as we continue to expand and strengthen our centralised distribution model, supporting our growing network of Vinnies stores.
As a DC Truck Driver, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of support to SEQ retail stores. Working in accordance with your daily delivery schedule, you will undertake tasks such as the collection of donations from stores, delivery of stock to retail stores, distribution centre and other programs and services as required, and disposal of waste.
A key objective of this position is to contribute to the safe and timely movement of stock to support retail store operations and the Society's objectives to help those in need.
We have
4 permanent full-time positions (38 hours per week)
based at our
Richlands Distribution Centre
.
To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:




Current Queensland Driver Licence and appropriate additional licences as required for site specific Society vehicles (MR Licence)
Current forklift - high risk work license (Class LF)
Previous experience as a Truck Driver or Delivery Driver
Previous experience in furniture removal or delivery
Excellent driving history record and ability to follow all road safety regulations
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Understanding of and a commitment to safe workplace practices, ensuring all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are adhered to
Ability to work as a member of a team, providing support as required to ensure organisational objectives are achieved
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with volunteers or in a volunteer-supported environment.
Previous experience working with donations.
