Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise data warehousing, analytics, and reporting solutions across SAP BW, SAP BW on HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BODS, and BusinessObjects platforms.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, architects, and support teams to deliver scalable, high-performance analytics solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.
The role requires solid expertise in SAP data modelling, ETL development, performance optimization, reporting, and production support within complex SAP landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics and Data Warehouse Development
Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW, SAP BW on HANA, and SAP HANA data models.
Develop Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions using InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, and HANA Calculation Views.
Build and maintain native SAP HANA models, including Attribute Views, Analytical Views, Calculation Views, and SQLScript procedures.
Develop end-to-end analytics solutions supporting reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics requirements.
Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, data quality, and security standards.
ETL and Data Integration
Design and develop SAP BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Integrate data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP IS-U, Salesforce, third-party applications, databases, and external data sources.
Develop data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Perform impact assessments for source system changes and implement corresponding ETL enhancements.
Reporting and Analytics
Develop and support SAP BusinessObjects reports, Web Intelligence reports, Universes, and dashboards.
Collaborate with business users to define reporting requirements and KPI frameworks.
Provide technical support for operational, management, and executive reporting.




Assist business teams in data analysis and reporting optimization initiatives.
Performance Optimization
Analyze and optimize BW queries, HANA views, SQL statements, and ETL jobs to improve system performance.
Monitor data loads, process chains, database performance, and reporting performance.
Implement best practices for query design, partitioning, indexing, and data lifecycle management.
Support capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
Support and Maintenance
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for SAP analytics solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects, and data-related issues within defined SLAs.
Support system upgrades, migrations, testing, and release deployments.
Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities when required.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and solutions.
Conduct technical walkthroughs, design reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions.
Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, functional consultants, and external vendors.
Documentation and Governance
Prepare technical design documents, data mapping specifications, ETL design documents, and support documentation.
Maintain development standards, coding standards, and deployment procedures.
Participate in peer reviews, quality assurance activities, and governance processes.

Required Experience
5+ years of experience in SAP BW, SAP HANA, and SAP analytics development.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale analytics and reporting solutions.
Hands‐on experience with SAP BODS implementation and support.
Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL methodologies.
Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project delivery environments.
Experience supporting production systems and managing incident resolution.
Preferred Skills
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience.
Knowledge of SAP Datasphere.
Exposure to SAP IS-U data models and utilities industry processes.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or cloud-based analytics platforms.
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD deployment processes.
Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes.
Experience with data governance and master data management practices.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP BODS, or SAP Analytics certifications are highly desirable.
