About the Role
This role is forexperienced traffic controllerswho are confident working on high-speed and motorway environments.
You'll be responsible for setting up, monitoring and packing down traffic control sites, communicating clearly with your crew and keeping everyone safe.
Experience operating VMS boards (truck-mounted) and towing/setting light towers is highly regarded, as is the ability to stay organised and work safely under pressure.
Shifts are well-planned, crews are organised, and we support you to do the job properly.
You'll be working with people who take pride in their work, look out for each other, and maintain a professional standard on every site.
Key Responsibilities




Direct and control the flow of vehicles, pedestrians and machinery to ensure safety and minimise disruption in work zones or public areas
Install, maintain and remove traffic signs, cones and other safety equipment as per traffic management plans
Ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians in and around the site.
Stay alert for potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
Use signals, hand gestures, two-way radios, and other tools to communicate with team members, drivers, and the public.
Ensure all traffic control operations comply with regulations and safety standards.
Adapt to various work schedules, including night shifts and weekends when necessary.
Skills and Experience
ATraffic Controller Card
AnImplement Traffic Control Plans Card
APrepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan Card(preferred but not mandatory).
A validWhite Card (General Construction Induction)
A validM1 Induction Card(or 300+ hours traffic control experience)
A TfNSW Workers on Foot Certificate
An Operate a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) Certificate/Card (for TMA drivers only)
The ability to work in a drug- and alcohol-free environment, including passing random screening.
