Tamworth Hospital is seeking a Locum Surgical Registrar to support surgical coverage within Hunter New England LHD.

This role is suited to a registrar with recent surgical experience who is confident supporting ward-based care, patient reviews, clinical documentation, handover and escalation of care when required.

Clinical Environment

Surgical Registrar role
Hospital-based locum position at Tamworth Hospital
Weekday shifts, generally 07:00 – 15:30
Five-shift block available
Supportive clinical setting with escalation pathways available

Key Duties
Review and manage surgical patients
Support ward-based care and acute presentations
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams

Eligibility Criteria
Current AHPRA Registration
Recent surgical registrar-level experience
Solid communication and clinical documentation skills
