OurMount Barkerteam is seeking anAllied Health Professional (AHP)orProfessional Officer (PO)to join the team as aSenior Social Worker, Senior Case Manager,Social WorkerorCase Manager.
Your ability to exercise precise judgement when emotionally understanding a child's needs is pivotal in this hands-on role.

This is asingle vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either an experienced, qualified Social Worker (AHP2 / AHP1) or Professional Officer (PO2 / PO1) depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.

Essential Qualifications:
AHP (Allied Health Professional) positionsrequire applicants to hold aSocial Workqualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
PO (Qualified Officer) positionsrequire relevant qualifications inCommunity Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Healthor other related fields.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
As a Senior Social Worker/Senior Case Manager, you will:
Administer complex case management that supports the safety of children and young people
Manage investigations and assessments that reviews child protection related issues
Utilise appropriate response measures to resolve notifications of abuse that adheres to strict departmental guidelines
Create written and verbal intervention reports that distinctly highlight child protection frameworks.
As a Social Worker/Case Manager, you will:
Oversee the protection of children and young people through sound case management and inclusive practice
Conduct regular visitations to fortify the independence and emotional security of clientele
Apply DCP's Practice Approach to incorporate evidence-based research to reflect robust case management
Maintain accurate information surrounding clientele using the C3MS system.
About you:
You display an acute cultural awareness and ability to understand the complex needs of a child
You can competently respond to the safety and wellbeing risks of children and young people
You have exemplary written and verbal communication skills to deliver accurate and concise reports
You are a phenomenal team collaborator who can attain goals collectively and independently
You can work under skilled direction to manage complex issues and workloads.
AHP2: $94,997 - $110,052 + 12% super
AHP1: $73,710 – $89,981 p.a. + 12% super
+ Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
PO2: $94,769 – $******* p.a. + 12% super
PO1: $73,533 – $89,764 p.a. + 12% super
+ Additional Child Protection Allowance.
AHP2positions are also entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
