We're looking for aSenior Cloud Security Engineerto join an established cyber security team and help build, automate and mature its security capability.
This is roughly50% hands-on Security Engineering and 50% cyber uplift.
You'll work across SIEM/XDR, detection, cloud security and incident response, while usingPython, DevOps practices and automationto make security processes more scalable and effective.
There's also a strong focus on exploring howAI can be practically applied across security operations and engineering.
What you'll do
Engineer and continuously improveSIEM, XDR and security monitoring capabilities
Build, test and tune high-quality security detections
Support complex incident response, investigations and threat hunting
Improve security visibility and telemetry acrossAWS and Azure
DevelopPython tooling and automationto eliminate repetitive security processes
Applydetection-as-code, Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices to security engineering
Work across vulnerability management, remediation and wider security uplift initiatives
Identify opportunities to useAI and automationto improve security operations
Partner with cloud, infrastructure and engineering teams to improve security controls and visibility
Help mature security processes rather than simply maintaining existing tooling
What you'll bring
Strong experience acrossSecurity Engineering, Detection Engineering or senior Security Operations
Hands-on experience withSIEM and XDR technologies
Robust understanding of detection engineering, security monitoring and incident response
Python scripting and automationexperience




Experience securingAWS and/or Azureenvironments
Understanding of CI/CD, Git and modernDevOps/DevSecOps practices
Experience with threat hunting, MITRE ATT&CK; and attacker behaviours
An engineering mindset with the ability to identify problems and build scalable solutions
Experience with SOAR, security data pipelines or automated remediation would be highly regarded
Exposure toAI within cyber security or automationwould be advantageous
