Join our Infrastructure team as a full time Leading Hand (Roads – Sealed) based in Tenterfield, NSW. In this hands-on supervisory role, you will lead a small team responsible for sealed road maintenance and rehabilitation works across the Shire to deliver roads the community can rely on.

Duties
Supervising sealed roads maintenance and rehabilitation activities
Leading and mentoring crew members and contractors
Implementing and monitoring safe work practices, including toolbox talks, risk assessments and SWMS
Overseeing traffic control setups and ensuring compliance with approved Traffic Control Plans
Allocating daily tasks in line with works programs, reporting on progress, and operating plant

Skills & Experience
Certificate IV in Civil Construction Operations (or equivalent)
Demonstrated supervisory experience in civil construction or road maintenance environments
Solid knowledge of WHS practices and current Traffic Controller and Traffic Management qualifications




NSW Class HR Driver’s Licence and proven ability to operate relevant civil plant and equipment
Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Diploma in Civil Construction, or First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
9 Day Fortnight and 4 weeks accumulative Annual Leave
2 weeks accumulative annual Sick Leave and 1 week MyLeave
