Mechanical Fitter - Water Treatment Plant, Approx $3,000 per week
Workfastis currently seeking aqualified Mechanical Fittersto join our team working on maintenance projects forWater Treatment PlantsacrossSydney South & Eastern Suburbs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled tradespeople with water infrastructure experience to secureongoing workonSydney Water sites.
What's On Offer:
$***** to $*****/hr (Depending on certificates held) + Penalties + Allowances
Consistent 40 hour weekswith occasional overtime
Overtime penalties andaboveindustry-standardallowances
Long-term, ongoing role with the goal & opportunity for FT employment (temp to perm)
Work on major infrastructure projects acrossSydney Watersites
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experienceas a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in water treatment or similar industrial & construction environments.
Australian Recognised Trade Certificatein relevant discipline
Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle (you may be required to work at different locations)
White Card (Construction Induction Card)- mandatory
Working at Heights MUST
Confined Spaces MUST
Valid Australian work rights (citizen, permanent resident, or unrestricted visa)
Solid understanding and commitment tosite safety protocols




Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Able tofollow instructions and work autonomouslywhere required
Key Responsibilities:
Performmechanical maintenanceon water treatment equipment and plant machinery
Maintain and repairpipes, valves, conveyors, and pumps
Assist withgeneral labouring tasksaround the plant as needed
Support daily operations to ensure smooth functionality of the treatment plant
Participate in site toolbox talks andmaintain strong safety practices
*Project allowance for most areas of the job.
