In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Providing leadership to multi sites across Northern Region – comprising of 12 locations across Queensland, New Zealand and Papa New Guinea to promote Work Health, Safety & Environment best practices and continuous improvement.
n
Builds strong relationships across functions to ensure the organization drives a strong interdependent HSE culture.
n
Manages planning actions to set targets and objectives for the site and drives actions to completion.
n
Leads an effective support model throughout the site through training, skills development and internal communications.
n
Provide support with risk management and risk mitigation to ensure effective controls are in place.
n
Managing workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return-to-work programs.
n
Engage in visible leadership with site presence and engagement to ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work.
n
Leads work cross-functionally as required to resolve work-related incidents, non-compliances, non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions driving continual improvement within the site(s).
n
Supports the business with legal and internal auditing programs.
n
Actively seeks opportunities for self-development through skilled health, safety and environmental organizations, as a champion of emerging trends
n

About You
n
You'll be an engaging HSE professional with a focus on people, keen to quickly develop great relationships with your branches, regional leadership and HSE team.



As a member of the senior leadership team you will utilise your industrial HSE knowledge and cooperative and influencing skills to contribute to and drive the successful implementation of HSE strategies
n
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
n
n
Diploma or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or degree in related field
n
Strong knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
n
Proven experience as an HSE Manager or similar role supporting Multi Sites and or Regions
n
Exceptional Stakeholder management and the ability to take control and makes this role your own
n
Demonstrated safety leadership and ability to work hands-on while providing guidance to HSE resources.
n
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
n
25% Travel and availability to be in office as required.
