About the Role
n
As the Health and Wellness Coordinator, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Glen Eira Leisure's Health and Wellness portfolio, including Health and Fitness, Group Exercise and Wellness programs.
n
You will drive participation and service excellence, lead service improvement initiatives, manage business performance and budgets, and ensure the delivery of contemporary, customer-focused services. The role also provides leadership to the Wellness Team Leader, Group Exercise Team Leader and Health and Fitness Team Leader.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Health and Wellness Services: Oversee Health and Fitness, Group Exercise and Wellness programs, ensuring services respond to customer needs and industry trends.
n
Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the Health and Wellness team to deliver high-quality programs and services.
n
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic, operational and business plans for Health and Wellness services.
n
Participation and Service Performance: Monitor participation, customer feedback, service performance and key performance indicators, implementing improvements as required.
n
Business and Financial Performance: Develop, monitor and forecast operational budgets in collaboration with the Business Operations Manager.
n
Stakeholder Relationships: Build productive relationships with members, instructors, suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders.
n
Contracts and Compliance: Manage supplier contracts, service agreements and compliance requirements.
n
Innovation and Promotion: Stay informed of industry trends and ensure marketing and promotional activities support participation and business objectives.
n
Governance and Safety: Ensure programs and services comply with relevant legislation, organisational policies and industry standards.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Experience leading teams, programs or services within health, fitness, wellness, recreation or leisure environments.
n
Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
n
Experience developing and managing operational budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
n
Ability to analyse participation, customer and market data to inform planning and service improvement.
n
Experience developing business plans, operational strategies, policies and procedures.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
n
Knowledge of contemporary health, fitness and wellness trends, risk management, workplace health and safety, child safety and relevant legislation.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificate.
n
Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Recreation, Health, Fitness or a related discipline; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience.
n
Certificate III in Fitness, Fitness Leaders Course, Exercise to Music, Group Exercise Leader qualification or equivalent will be highly regarded
n
