The Children and Schooling Facilitator is responsible for the smooth running and promotion of the Playgroup, and Parenting Groups. This position is responsible for ensuring that children in their care have stimulating, positive experiences and interactions that will foster all aspect of their development.
Responsibilities:
Use and promote effective communication, excellent customer service and cultural awareness in all activities.
Develop skilled relationships with key stakeholders and referral sources to develop referral pathways for Aboriginal families.
Develop and implement strategies to support regular attendance at Playgroup, Parenting and other sessions.
Link closely the Parenting and Playgroups enabling referral and participation in both.
Support and advocate positive parenting,



behaviour and guidance strategies.
Provide advice to parents/primary caregivers that is relevant to the care, development and safety of the children within the Centre
Maintaining accurate reporting requirements to ensure that key reporting milestones are being met.
Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
Current Working with Children's Check
Satisfactory Criminal History Check
Current Drivers License
Satisfactory drug and alcohol screening
Basic first aid certification
Experience working with children in an educational or community setting is advantageous.
