The employment law team acts for a diverse client base spanning individual professionals, executives, and corporate clients across a wide range of industries. The practice is known for its technical quality, its depth of Fair Work Act expertise, and a genuinely collaborative team culture.

About the role
n You will report directly to a senior employment lawyer and work across a broad mix of employee-side and employer-side employment law matters, with the primary focus on employee-side work.

Unfair dismissal applications before the Fair Work Commission
n
General protections claims under Part 3-1 of the Fair Work Act
n
Discrimination and harassment complaints in federal and state jurisdictions
n
Breach of contract and wrongful dismissal advice
n
Redundancy entitlements and separation negotiations
n
Advice on enterprise agreements and individual flexibility arrangements
n
Employment contract drafting and review
n
Workplace investigation advice and report review
n
Enterprise bargaining strategy and process advice
n
Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards compliance advice
n
Managing unfair dismissal and general protections responses
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
2-4 years PQE in employment law, workplace relations or industrial law
n
Employee-side experience preferred
n
Dual employee/employer experience strongly valued
n
Working knowledge of the Fair Work Commission process and Fair Work Act framework
n
Experience running unfair dismissal or general protections matters, or significant supervised exposure
n
Strong drafting and written communication skills
n
Empathy, professionalism and sound client relationship skills
n
Queensland admission or eligibility for admission
n
