The Company & Role

A leading Australian manufacturer is seeking an experienced Commercial & Pricing Business Partner to join the business during a period of transformation and growth. Partnering closely with the GM of Sales, this is a highly visible role focused on pricing strategy, commercial governance, profitability improvement and business partnering.
n
As the Commercial & Pricing Business Partner, you will play a key role in improving customer and product profitability, enhancing pricing discipline and supporting commercial decision-making across the business. Approximately 60% of the role will focus on pricing, margin optimisation and commercial governance, with the remainder centred around FP&A;, performance insights and stakeholder partnering.

Key Responsibilities
n

Lead pricing reviews, pricing governance and margin improvement initiatives
n
Support customer negotiations, tenders, contract renewals and commercial proposals
n
Develop customer and product profitability analysis
n
Build financial models, business cases and scenario analysis
n
Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive profitable growth
n
Identify pricing leakage,
commercial risks and opportunities for improvement
n
Establish and improve commercial processes, frameworks and governance
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reviews
n
Develop commercial dashboards and performance reporting
n
Drive standardisation of pricing, profitability and commercial reporting processes across the business
n

About You
n
The candidate will have/be:
n
n
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
n
Background in Commercial Finance, FP&A;, Pricing or Revenue Management
n
Strong experience partnering with Sales and commercial teams
n
Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
n
Experience driving pricing, profitability and margin improvement initiatives
n
Ability to challenge stakeholders and influence decision-making
n
Robust communication and relationship management skills
n
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or industrial will be highly regarded
n
