About The Role
n
We are seeking a full-time temporary Accounts Payable Officer for a *****-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity to provide parental leave cover (Dates tbc Nov/Dec **** through to Jan/Feb ****. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end‐to‐end accounts payable function. This hands‐on role is suited to a highly organised and detail‐oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment. You will bring a proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a willingness to contribute to the success of a collaborative and entrepreneurial team.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
n
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor queries
n
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs
n
Perform weekly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
n
Maintain vendor master data, including validation of vendor information and bank detail changes
n
Review, code and reconcile corporate credit card transactions,



employee expenses and petty cash claims
n
Support month end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and subledger‐to‐general‐ledger reconciliations
n
Assist the finance team with accounts payable cashflow forecasting
n
Contribute to the annual audit, including liaison with auditors
n
Deliver ad hoc analysis and provide ongoing support to the Finance Manager and broader finance team
n

Must-have
n
n
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
n
Good reconciliation and analytical problem‐solving skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
n
n
Nice-to-have Experience
n
n
Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP Concur
n
Understanding of GST compliance and financial controls
n
Commercial experience in retail is highly regarded
n
n
