With our head office and manufacturing operations in Melbourne, supported by established offshore manufacturing capability. We manage projects from initial concept and design through to prototyping, manufacture, storage and distribution.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a designer who can confidently contribute from day one and take ownership of design and technical development across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Taking and interpreting customer and internal design briefs
n
Designing point of sale, retail display and shop fixture solutions across a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
n
Creating detailed 2D and 3D models, assemblies and manufacture-ready technical drawings
n
Developing concepts from initial design through to engineering detail, prototyping and production
n
Preparing samples, prototypes and supporting documentation for quoting and customer approval
n
Applying solid design-for-manufacture principles, with consideration for cost, quality, assembly, transport and installation
n
Working directly with local and offshore manufacturing teams to resolve technical and production issues
n
Supporting the sales and production teams with technical knowledge, design development and project delivery
n
Managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment
n
Checking drawings, specifications and production details for accuracy before release to manufacture

About you
n
n




A degree-level qualification in Industrial Design, Product Design or a closely related discipline
n
Demonstrated professional experience as an Industrial Designer
n
Strong, practical and proven knowledge of SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies, detailed drawings and manufacture-ready documentation
n
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for accurate 2D drafting, layouts and technical documentation
n
Strong 3D visualisation and rendering skills - able to produce high-quality, photorealistic renders that clearly communicate concepts to clients
n
Strong proficiency across Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, with the ability to prepare professional design presentations, artwork and visual communication
n
Experience developing products or displays for manufacture, with a sound understanding of materials, fabrication methods, tolerances, fixings and assembly
n
Strong understanding of design for manufacture, quality control and cost efficiency
n
Ability to take a project from concept through detailed design and into production with limited supervision
n
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical design decisions in a commercial manufacturing environment
n
Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
n
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
n
A hands-on attitude and willingness to be involved in prototypes, samples, production reviews and practical problem solving.
n
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working autonomously and taking ownership of assigned projects.
