The Role
n
Calibre is seeking a motivated and experienced fitter, responsible for executing a variety of essential tasks including:
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Completion of alignment utilising digital aligning equipment.
n
Rebuilding fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
n
Overhauling various pumps, including slurry and water pumps.
n
Confidently working on conveyor systems to maintain efficiency and reliability.
n
Undertaking maintenance and repairs on floatation systems and/or thickener to uphold operational integrity.
n
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors,



and engineers to optimize performance.
n
Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
n
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
n
Perform breakdown repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
n
Adhere to workplace safety protocols, risk assessments, and environmental policies.
n
Provide training and mentorship to apprentices and junior team members.
n
Liaise with service advisors or clients to provide technical recommendations and updates.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Relevant trade qualifications and certification.
n
Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in similar positions, completing alignments with proficiency in utilising digital aligning equipment.
n
Proficiency in rebuilding various pumps, including slurry and water pumps.
n
Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
