Newcastle & Hunter Community Health is looking for a Community Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. Enjoy the opportunity to work with a consistent client base, allowing you to develop strong professional relationships and truly understand each client's individual needs, goals and preferences. Provide personalised, continuity-of-care while making a genuine difference in the lives of the people you support, visiting them in their home. You'll work autonomously in the field, but you're backed by a supportive team, weekly RN handover, regular team meetings, and a Clinical Care Manager with hands-on clinical experience.

Key responsibilities

Medication assistance, assessment and monitoring
n
Wound care and wound reports
n
Intake and continence assessments
n
PEG and SPC/IDC changes and care
n
Care planning and reporting
n
Support our support workers and new team members with the clinical side of client care
n
n
About you
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Australian unrestricted driver's licence
n
Current first aid certificate
n
Smart phone and internet access
n




Two contactable manager referees
n
Confident working on your own in someone's home
n
Community, aged care, DVA or NDIS experience ideal
n
Fully maintained company car with FBT paid and fuel card for full-time staff
n
Travel time between clients is paid
n
No night shift, no rotating roster, no working Christmas in a facility
n
E-learning and face-to-face education relevant to your role
n
Monthly and annual recognition nominated by peers, clients and manager
n
Part time option: $1.01 per work kilometre reimbursement in own car
n

Newcastle & Hunter Community Health is a local, privately owned provider. Our clients are aged care, DVA, NDIS and private, and we look after them in their own homes across Newcastle and the Hunter. You'd be part of a small clinical team, not a number in a national roster system.
