We are looking for an exceptional, nurturing, and dedicated educator to join our supportive team in a combined
Educational Leader and Room Leader

About the Role
As our Educational Leader and Room Leader, you will lead the day-to-day education and care in your room while guiding the development of our educational program across the service. You will help create a warm, inclusive, and child safe environment where children feel secure, supported, and confident to explore, learn, and grow.
Working alongside our leadership team, you will support educators through mentoring, collaboration, and critical reflection. You will lead with professionalism, empathy, and integrity, helping the team deliver high-quality education and care that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard, and Wonder Years' values.
Responsibilities include




Leading a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment in your room, with children's wellbeing at the centre of your practice.
Guiding the development and implementation of the educational program across the service.
Mentoring and supporting educators with curriculum planning, documentation, assessment, and reflective practice.
Helping educators connect the Early Years Learning Framework, current theory, and children's interests to meaningful everyday experiences.
Supporting a consistent approach to high-quality teaching and learning across rooms while respecting each child's individual needs and voice.
Building positive relationships with children and families, and supporting educators to do the same.
Providing active supervision and ensuring the health, safety, and protection of children at all times.
Identifying and responding appropriately to child safety concerns in line with policies, procedures, and mandatory reporting obligations.
Working with the leadership team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support quality practice across the service.
Observing, documenting, and reflecting on children's learning and development.
The Ideal Candidate




Holds an approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
Has experience leading a room and a strong understanding of educational program and practice.
Enjoys mentoring educators and can give practical, encouraging guidance.
Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing.
Demonstrates safe, respectful, and nurturing interactions with children.
Understands child protection, professional boundaries, and the importance of creating child safe environments.
Communicates positively and builds strong relationships with children, families, and educators.
Is reflective, organised, and committed to ongoing learning.
