We are an established specialist maintenance business servicing operable walls, movable walls and folding partition systems for commercial, education, hospitality and government clients.

We are looking for an experienced Operable Wall Service Technician to help establish and service our Victorian client base.
n
This is not a general handyman position. Applicants must have previous hands-on experience servicing, repairing or installing commercial operable wall systems.
n
About the role
n
You will carry out servicing, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance on operable wall systems throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas. This is a specialist role requiring hands-on experience servicing, repairing or installing commercial operable wall systems, not a general handyman position. You will also play a key role in assisting to grow the business.

Key responsibilities
n

Carrying our assessment of operable and other movable wall systems
n
Servicing and maintaining operable and movable wall systemsDiagnosing mechanical and operational faults
n
Replacing worn or damaged components
n
Adjusting trolleys, tracks, seals, hinges and operating mechanisms
n
Repairing manual and semi-automatic wall systems
n
Identifying additional repairs required and reporting findings
n
Completing preventative maintenance inspections
n
Working independently at schools, universities, hotels, conference facilities, offices and other commercial sites
n




Assisting in the growth of the business

About you
n
We are specifically looking for someone with previous hands-on experience servicing, repairing or installing commercial operable wall systems.
n
Ideally, you will have experience working with systems such as Lotus, Hufcor, Modernfold, Panelfold, Dorma Huppe/Kaba, Bluett & Swann, or similar operable, movable or acoustic wall systems.
n
You should be confident working independently, diagnosing faults and determining the most practical repair solution.
n
You will also need:

Strong mechanical aptitude
n
High standard of workmanship
n
Professional communication with clients
n
Ability to work unsupervised
n
Ability to travel throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area
n
Experience with multiple operable wall brands will be highly regarded
n
