Charlie & Franks is looking for an experienced Café Manager to take ownership of our busy St Leonards café and catering operation.
This is a hands‐on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading people and takes pride in high standards.
You'll be on the floor with your team, looking after customers, managing the operation and making sure the café performs at its best every day.
You won't just be managing a roster — you'll be leading a team and owning the operation.

About the Role
Our St Leonards location is more than a traditional café.
Alongside our daily café operation, we service
corporate catering clients and events
, giving you variety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop your management skills beyond a traditional café environment.
As Café Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation, team performance, customer experience and commercial results.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading and motivating a team of approximately
8–10 staff, including kitchen
Managing the daily café operation from opening through to close
Setting clear expectations and maintaining high team standards
Training, coaching and developing team members




Delivering outstanding customer service
Managing rosters, labour costs and productivity
Monitoring sales and helping drive café performance
Managing stock, ordering and inventory
Maintaining food quality, presentation and service standards
Coordinating café catering orders and customer requirements
Managing customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
Ensuring food safety, WHS and company procedures are followed
Completing daily operational reporting
Working closely with senior management to continually improve the operation
About You
We're looking for someone who wants to lead, not simply someone who wants a manager's title.
You'll be a great fit if you:
Bring big energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Have at least 2 years' experience in café, restaurant or hospitality management
Are confident leading, coaching and developing a team
Are hands‐on and happy to jump in wherever needed
Understand labour costs, rosters, stock control and daily operations
Have strong commercial awareness
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Can manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
Lead by example and are comfortable holding people accountable
Are proactive, solutions‐focused and not afraid to make decisions
Care about the small details that make a customer's experience great
Most importantly, you take ownership.
