Role Title: Improvement Specialist
n Client: Queensland Government Department
n Contract Length: 3 Month Contract with potential of extension
n Pay Rate: A05 to A06 ($***** to $***** an hour + super)
n Submission Date: ASAP

What You Will Do:
n
n
Support the mapping and documentation of current-state assessment processes, key activities, decision points, and workflow delays.
n
Gather and analyze workflow, effort, and file sample data to identify waste, variation, bottlenecks, and drivers of processing effort.
n
Review operational procedures, guidance materials, and templates to pinpoint causes of inefficiency, duplication, or rework.
n
Assist in developing practical improvement options,



process maps, root cause analyses, and roadmap inputs for future implementation.
n
Engage collaboratively with operational teams and subject matter experts to gather insights, validate information, and document outcomes.
n

What You Need to Apply for This Role:
n
n
Demonstrated experience in process analysis, workflow review, data analysis, and process mapping within operational improvement reviews.
n
Formal training or certification (IASSC or equivalent) in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or comparable process improvement methodology.
n
Proven capability in data gathering, observation support, file sampling, and preparing transparent working papers or reporting inputs.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
n
Experience in grants, claims, case management, lending, or similar operational and regulated environments (highly regarded).
n
