We are seeking compassionate proactive individuals who understand that supporting an older person means looking at the whole picture - their health, wellbeing, environment, and goals.
About the Role:
We're looking for a person who can take a holistic view of an individual's needs.
You will ensure the right supports are in place at the right time, enabling religious sisters to age well, maintain their independence and stay connected to their community.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
Experience recognising changes in a person's health and function
The ability to think ahead, proactively plan and adapt supports (a health carebackground/experienceis highly regarded)
A genuine desire to help others live meaningful, purposeful lives
A genuine interest in the life story of others
An understanding of a person's rights and if needed, the ability to advocate for others
Well-developed interpersonal, communication, listening and negotiating skills with ability to think critically and problem solve
This is a 12-month maximum term part-time position (with potential for extension) working 20 hours per week (across 4 days per week), with the potential for additional hours.
Flexibility in work hours and days may be required to fit in with the day-to-day needs of the sisters.
You will be paid an hourly rate commensurate with the requirements of the role.
Please note,



you will need to have a current driver's licence and have the ability to travel to areas throughout Brisbane with occasional travel to the Gold Coast.
Travel will be required on a needs basis and in consultation with the Regional Community Living Coordinator and Health and Wellbeing Coordinator.
A car can be provided for travel.
