About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join the leadership team.
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service standards, team engagement, and smooth operational performance across all departments.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily venue operations across bar, gaming, restaurant, and accommodation areas
Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
Manage staff performance, training, and development
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, health, and workplace safety regulations
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally




Assist with rostering, stock control, cash handling, and venue reporting
Support the achievement of operational and financial targets
Maintain presentation standards throughout the venue
Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership position
Strong knowledge of gaming, bar, food and beverage operations
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong organisational and time management skills
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Essential Requirements
Current QLD RSA & RSG
RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence
Gaming experience highly regarded
