CNC Machinist Airswift is currently partnering with a well-established engineering company to source an experienced CNC Machinist for an chance based in Henderson, WA. This is a workshop-based role offering consistent hours, and the opportunity to work on high-quality projects across the marine, defence, industrial and resource sectors. Scope of Work Responsibilities
Setting up, programming and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components
Working predominantly with Siemens control systems
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions
Selecting tooling, setting machine parameters, and optimising machining processes
Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances
Conducting first-off inspections and quality checks using precision measuring equipment
Troubleshooting machining and programming issues as required
Completing production and quality documentation
Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment
Working collaboratively within a skilled workshop team to meet project deadlines
What You'll Need
Trade qualification (Machining, Fitting & Machining or equivalent)
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or engineering workshop environment
Strong experience operating and programming CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Sound knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds and feeds
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Desirable Experience
Experience operating and programming CNC machines using Siemens 828D/840D controls and Siemens ShopTurn language.
Experience working within defence, marine, mining or heavy industrial sectors
Multi-axis machining experience
CAD/CAM programming experience
Forklift Licence
