About the Role
The Executive and Project Officer, provides high-quality,responsive and confidential executive and administrative support tothe Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement.
The roleis responsible for managing the Director's diary,correspondence,recordsand information systems, coordinates office operations andstakeholder engagements, and providing secretariat support tocommittees and working groups.
Operating in a dynamic environment, the Executive and ProjectOfficer supports the Director in managing emerging, complex andsensitive matters.
The role prepares correspondence,reports,presentations,briefing notes and meeting minutes, undertakesresearch and project activities, delivers minor projects, andprovides a range of business support services that contribute tothe effective operation of the Strategic Communications andEngagement Branch and the achievement oforganisationalobjectives.

Contract: Temporary Backfill Contract for 6months
Essential Criteria(includingqualifications)
Demonstrated experience providing high-level executivesupport, including diary, email andcorrespondencemanagement.
Demonstrated knowledge of South Australian Governmentbusiness management requirements,



communication protocols, andMinisterial, Cabinet, Parliamentary andlegislativeprocesses.
Demonstrated understanding, and commitment to,Aboriginalpartnerships,cultural respect andReconciliationinitiatives.
Extensive experience in the use of MicrosoftOfficeapplications,including Outlook, Word, Excel andPowerPoint.
Experience in, or willingness to learn and apply,artificial intelligence (AI) tools and workflows to improvebusiness processes and service delivery.
Demonstrates strong written communication skills byproducing accurate, clear and concise documentation, whileensuring all work is thoroughly reviewed for accuracy andcompliance with organisational standards, policies andcommunication protocols.
Effectively manages competing priorities and deadlineswhile coordinating appointments, meetings and events in anaccurate, timely and professional manner.
Takes a planned and organised approach to managing work,using available systems and tools to achieve outcomes.
Identifies and analyses issues and problems, considerspotential causes and implications, and developspracticalsolutions.
Identifies inconsistencies, discrepancies and gaps ininformation and exercises sound judgement indeterminingappropriateaction.
Desirable Criteria: Experience workingwith Aboriginal Communities.
Special Conditions
May be required to participate in emergencypreparedness,responseand recovery activities required bygovernmentagencies.




You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, orprovide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allowsyou to work in Australia.
This role has been identified as a Position of Trust.
Youwill be required to provide a Nationally Coordinated CriminalHistory Check which must be renewed every three years beforeexpiry.
DEW will cover the cost of renewal.
May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel,occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normalhours of work.
A successful applicant who is not currently employed by theDepartment for Environment and Water will be required to have anoriginal photo identification document sighted and provide a validNationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued withinthe last 12 months.
This information must be supplied by allapplicants who are shortlisted for interview.
Remuneration: ASO4 ($82,212 min - $86,180 max)p.a.
