The Opportunity
As GWM Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for every aspect of the sales department, including people, leads, customers, deals, stock, gross profit, finance performance and manufacturer targets.
This is not an office-based management position.
We want a highly visible, hands-on leader who spends their time on the showroom floor, working alongside the sales team, speaking with customers, helping close deals and ensuring every opportunity is followed through.




The successful candidate will know exactly what is happening across the department at all times.
You will set the pace, create energy and accountability, and make sure the team remains focused on delivering results every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop the GWM sales team from the showroom floor
Remain actively involved with customers, negotiations and closing deals
Drive new and demonstrator vehicle sales
Maintain complete oversight of leads, appointments, follow-ups and conversion performance
Ensure every sales chance is properly worked and followed through
Achieve monthly volume, gross profit, finance and customer satisfaction targets
Create a positive, energetic and accountable sales culture
Conduct daily sales meetings and maintain urgency throughout the department
Work closely with the Business Managers to maximise finance and insurance results
Manage stock levels, ageing vehicles, pricing and demonstrator performance
Ensure the showroom, vehicle displays and sales presentation remain at a consistently high standard
Develop strategies to generate new business and reactivate older leads
Maintain strong relationships with GWM and achieve manufacturer standards




Deliver an outstanding customer experience and strong CSI results
Report directly to group management on performance, forecasts and opportunities
About You
Dynamic, energetic and commercially focused
An experienced automotive Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager ready to step up
A visible, hands-on leader who leads from the front
More comfortable on the showroom floor than sitting behind a desk
Confident managing every part of a high-volume sales department
Strong in team leadership, coaching and performance management
Experienced in lead management and improving enquiry conversion
Skilled in negotiating, structuring and closing deals
Focused on sales volume, gross profit and total dealership profitability
Highly organised and able to maintain oversight of multiple priorities
Passionate about building a winning culture and developing their team
