We are looking for an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team working on civil construction projects across Canberra and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, looks after their machine and enjoys working as part of a good team.

About the role

As an Excavator Operator, you will be operating excavators across a range of civil construction projects. Your day-to-day work may include:
Operating excavators from 5 tonne through to larger machines
Bulk earthworks, trenching and detailed excavation
Stormwater, drainage and sewer works
Roadworks and site preparation
Loading trucks and moving materials
Backfilling, levelling and final trimming
Working around services and other machinery
Carrying out daily machine checks and keeping the machine clean and well maintained




Following site safety requirements and working safely around other workers and equipment

About you

We are looking for someone who:
Has experience operating excavators in civil construction
Can operate machinery confidently and safely
Has positive attention to detail
Takes pride in their work and looks after equipment
Is reliable, punctual and willing to get in and help the team when needed
Can follow instructions and work well with supervisors and other operators
Has a good attitude and is easy to work with
Holds a White Card
Has the appropriate excavator tickets/licences for the machinery being operated
