About the role
n
Working from our Townsville workshop, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of heavy commercial vehicles and equipment. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of vehicles and projects, including Defence-related equipment, making this a great role for someone who enjoys developing their skills and tackling different mechanical challenges.

Key responsibilities

Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
Mechanical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
n
Component replacement and general mechanical repairs
n
Inspection and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles
n
Working on Defence vehicles and equipment
n
Completing accurate service and maintenance documentation
n
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n




Working independently as well as part of a team
n
Assisting with additional maintenance requirements as required
n

About you
n
n
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
n
Previous experience working on heavy commercial vehicles
n
Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A current driver's licence
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Experience working on Defence vehicles or equipment will be highly regarded
n
