About the role
n
Working alongside our SIL and Socials Manager, you'll help oversee our Supported Independent Living (SIL), ILO and community/social programs.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role. Some days you'll be supporting staff and coordinating the house, other days you might be communicating with families, helping organise a social activity,
reviewing documentation or stepping in to solve an unexpected staffing issue.
n
You'll also act as the overseeing Manager during rostered days off and periods of leave.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Supporting the day-to-day operation of our SIL and ILO services
n
Helping coordinate our social and community participation programs
n
Mentoring and supporting disability support workers
n
Monitoring participant wellbeing, goals and changing support needs
n
Assisting with rostering, shift changes and unexpected staffing gaps
n
Building positive relationships with participants, families and Support Coordinators
n
Ensuring progress notes, incidents, risk assessments and participant documentation are completed to a high standard
n
Supporting NDIS compliance and continuous improvement
n
Helping maintain a safe, welcoming and well‐run home environment
n
Stepping into direct participant support when reasonably required
n
n
Who we're looking for

Confident communicating with participants, families and staff
n
Organised and able to keep multiple things moving
n
A natural problem solver who doesn't wait to be told every next step
n
Comfortable providing guidance and leadership to a team
n
Experienced in SIL and/or ILO
n
Knowledgeable about the NDIS and quality support delivery
n
Able to remain calm and make good decisions when plans change
n
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who really cares about people and understands that good leadership in disability services starts with relationships.

Essential requirements
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
n
Previous SIL and/or ILO experience
n
Previous leadership or senior support experience
n
Current driver's licence
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Current First Aid & CPR
n
Medication competency
n
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and person‐centred practice
n
n
Experience with ShiftCare, social/community programs, Positive Behaviour Support, staff mentoring or NDIS audits would be highly regarded.
n
Availability
n
You must be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
n
There may also be some evening, weekend or public holiday work depending on participant and operational needs, so flexibility is important.
