Our client, a well-established Victorian local council, is seeking a Building Surveyor (Limited) to join their team on a contract basis, focusing on swimming pool compliance across new and existing pool barriers.
n
About the Role
n
This role will be responsible for managing swimming pool compliance matters, including the preparation and issuing of Building Notices and Orders relating to both current and existing pool barrier non-compliance.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assess swimming pool and spa barrier compliance for recent and existing pools.
n
Prepare and issue Building Notices and Building Orders in relation to non-compliant pool barriers.
n




Liaise with property owners, builders, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance matters.
n
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with council processes.
n

About You
n
n
Current registration as a Building Surveyor (Limited) or Building Inspector, or eligibility for equivalent registration.
n
Robust working knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, and swimming pool/spa barrier compliance requirements.
n
Confident, professional communication skills, with the ability to manage sometimes difficult compliance conversations.
n
Well organised, with solid attention to detail and the ability to manage a caseload independently.
n
n
Adaptable work arrangements available, contract role through to end January .
