Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Lawyer Role - 2 to 4 + years PQE

This full-time, Sydney CBD based role is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and successful Firm. This role offers a variety of interesting and diverse work across our Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team with a focus on contested commercial recoveries matters.

This role is well suited to a 2 to 4 + years PQE lawyer wanting to take their next career stepin a successful and supportive workplace.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
general carriage and management of your own files under direct partner supervision
n
working on multi-jurisdictional debt recovery claims, many of which are defended and move to complex litigation
n
reviewing and issuing demands, statements of claim, other originating processes and applications for enforcement action
n
drafting defences, requests for particulars and various motions and affidavits
n
drafting deeds of settlement, advice to clients and various pieces of correspondence
n
attendance at wind up hearings, creditors petitions, interlocutory motions, directions hearings and final hearings
n
appearing in Local, District, Supreme and Federal Courts
n




supervising and developing junior lawyers and paralegals
n
contributing to streamlining workflow processes
n
meeting and attending with the partners, clients, counsel, lawyers and other professionals
n
assisting generally in the day-day management and administration of commercial recoveries matters
n
n
2 to 4 + years post admission with experience in litigated recovery matters
n
sound organisational and file management skills
n
excellent typing skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
n
clear and engaging communication skills, written and verbal
n
exceptional attention to detail
n
professional presentation
n
