About the role
n
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of commercial HVAC projects from concept through to construction. Senior Engineers will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and assist with project coordination and client management. You will work on major commercial HVAC projects across a diverse range of sectors including commercial fitouts, new builds, healthcare, education, industrial and facilities management projects. Working alongside experienced Design Managers and senior project stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering innovative HVAC solutions across multiple high-profile projects while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities
n
Design commercial HVAC systems for a range of building services projects
n
Produce mechanical calculations, equipment selections and system layouts
n
Prepare design documentation, specifications and technical reports
n
Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Consultants
n
Attend design and client coordination meetings
n
Review shop drawings and provide engineering support throughout construction
n
Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and NCC requirements
n
Assist with value engineering and technical problem solving
n
Support project delivery to achieve programme, quality and budget objectives
n




Senior Engineers will mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects
n
About you
n
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
n
Intermediate Engineers: 2–5+ years' experience within commercial HVAC or mechanical building services
n
Senior Engineers: 6–10+ years' experience delivering commercial HVAC projects
n
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC design principles and Australian Standards
n
Experience using HVAC design software
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
n
Full Australian working rights

Ability to provide two recent professional references
