Phoenix Food and Coffee is currently seeking a qualified full-time chef to join our team at 16 Service Street, Bairnsdale, VIC ****. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in Modern Australian Cuisine.

The job description for a chef is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:

Menu planning, estimating food and labourcosts.
n
Preparing and cooking menu items.
n
Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.
n
Adhering to, explaining, and enforcing hygiene regulations.
n
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
n




Delegation of tasks to other team members.
n
Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
n
Monitor food stock and place orders.
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
Qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)
n
Minimum 1 year of experience in the commercial kitchen
n
Flexible availability
n
Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
n
Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements
n
Experienced in Australian cuisine.
n
n
This position is full-time (38 hours per week).
n
Salary per year - $79,********,000 plus Super
