The Role
We are looking for a licensed Quantity Surveyor with proven, hands-on experience preparing depreciation schedules. We have already built an automated pipeline using our 3D scanning and virtual tour technology, and we need an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review and submit.
In this role, you won't be building tech from scratch; instead, you will maintain compliance, review and sign off on automated schedules, and help our R&D; team fine-tune calculations as tax legislation or building costs evolve. We are open to full-time or part-time arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Reviewing & Finalising Assets: Be the final authority reviewing, approving, and signing off on automated depreciation schedules before they reach customers.
Calculation Maintenance: Monitor automated outputs and work directly with the team to modify underlying calculations, ensuring ongoing accuracy against current market rates and ATO guidelines.
Compliance & Licensing:



Maintain your professional accreditation to ensure our outputs meet strict industry and legal standards.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the internal authority on QS principles, answering technical questions and ensuring our property data models remain robust.
About You
You are a qualified professional with extensive field experience specifically in tax depreciation, looking to transition into a flexible, tech-forward role.
Requirements
Must Have: Demonstrated, hands‐on experience preparing and finalising depreciation schedules for residential (primary) and commercial properties.
Accreditation: Active membership in a recognised professional organisation (e.g., AIQS) is mandatory, as maintaining this license is a core function of the role.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience within the building sector.
Attention to Detail: The ability to quickly spot discrepancies in automated reports and understand the underlying data logic.
