Owen Pharmacy Group is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team and take ownership of the Group's human resources function across eight pharmacy locations.
This is a hands-on HR role where you will work closely with managers across the business, providing practical advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to build robust relationships across the Group and make a genuine difference to our people and workplace.
We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with flexibility around working hours for the right person.
About the role:
As HR Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the HR function and will provide advice and support to managers across all areas of people management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing practical HR advice and support to Pharmacist Managers and Retail Managers across multiple locations
Supporting managers with performance management, disciplinary matters and employee relations issues
Managing employee grievances and workplace concerns in a professional and confidential manner
Providing advice on employment conditions, workplace policies and relevant legislation
Interpreting and applying the Pharmacy Industry Award and other relevant industrial instruments
Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies, procedures and processes
Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
Assisting with workforce planning and recruitment across the Group
Managing employment contracts, variations and other employee documentation




Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience
About you:
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident working independently and taking ownership of a broad HR function.You will ideally have:
Several years' experience in a HR role
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace relations
Demonstrated experience managing performance, conduct and disciplinary matters
Confidence providing HR advice to managers
Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Experience managing recruitment and the employee lifecycle
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels
A high level of discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
