A barbershop manager responsible for the day-to-day running of the shop, leading and supervising the team, and ensuring high standards of customer service and operations.

Key responsibilities

Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the barbershop
n
Lead and supervise the team during each shift
n
Create and maintain staff rosters
n
Organise cover for sick leave, annual leave and unexpected absences
n
Monitor punctuality, attendance and staff performance
n
Manage breaks and ensure adequate floor coverage
n
Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
n
Maintain high standards of customer service
n
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues before escalating them
n
Ensure the shop is always clean,



organised and professionally presented
n
About you
n
Expected to take ownership rather than wait for instructions
n
Should assess everyday problems, make reasonable decisions and resolve them
n
Lead by example through punctuality, professionalism, work ethic, cleanliness and customer service
n
Treat staff fair and respectfully
n
Know what is happening within the shop including staffing issues, customer concerns, stock requirements and operational problems
n
Communicate key matters to the owner without requiring the owner to manage the situation personally
